which city best for new years? prague, berlin, amsterdam?

Check skyeurope.com for unbelievably cheap flights. But don't expect too much from the airline. I actually know a few people from Poznan. Sound alright from the stories I heard.

Berlin can be quite good at new years. Lots of fireworks! Although it does get quite cold.

You can't really go wrong with any of those three options. I guess the choice depends on what you expect on NYE. Massive raves, drinking in the streets, pub hopping with your crew, etc. Every city has its own unique atmosphere in that sense.

prague is nice but you really need to know where to go. that place is filled with tourists and almost every party is filled with guys.

in poland the best place for new years is zakopane. i had better new years there than in paris. a lot of cool people and much cheaper than any of the places you listed.

if you want to leave poland, vienna would be my top choice.
