i bought my virgil boots used from a proxy and i gotta get new soles on them. Does anybody have any experience going through a shoe cobbler in NY or anywhere that can make it look like the original sole?

Wonder if it will close down like the HK store. People just went there to try on and then bought through proxies.

I'd be more interested in knowing if it'll be a Visvim store or a FIL as they've started to differentiate the two in the last year or so.

It's a Hiroki owned shop.

I honestly don't completely understand the difference.  

I've been to multiple locations of both and don't see what the difference is outside of the decor/vibe of the shop.  The products are the same.

The only real different thing i've seen is the ICT which is completely different in product and feel of the store.

The Visvim shop does have some of the same stuff as FIL, but also the much pricier Visvim shop exclusives. Some of the prices on those rival or exceed indigo camping trailer. I would be curious to see how ridiculously priced it is in New York.

also FIL Tokyo does not carry any denim, only Vis store does

When they did stop carrying denim?  I've been going there since it opened and last i was there in summer of last year they still had denim (and chinos).
