1. Guinness draught

2. Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout

3. Tsingtao

4. Newcastle

5. Heineken (don't even like this one particularly as much as the others...but it's the beer i grew up on so i guess it deserves a spot for sentimental reasons).

i mostly just drink guinness draught though.

1. Alesmith ANVIL ESB Ale (brewed here in San Diego and quite possibly the best beer in the world)

2. Alesmith IPA

3. Stone IPA

4. Fat Tire

5. Harp Lager

It's kind of cheating to have Alesmith on my list since it's a homebrewery club more than a real brewery. But their ales are boner-inducing so I can't leave em off :)

EDIT: CAn't believe I forgot about Corona. Perfect on a hot day!!

hate hate hate on FRUIT lambic drinkers. Only women think of it as "beer"...

but I digress... I drink these with my pinky pointed out:

- Red Horse

- San Miguel Light

- Hite

- Anything with the word "cooler" on the bottle

^^ second. plus, i don't think i've met a woman who likes lambics...

I wasn't super serious... but I really wanted to make fun of fruit lambics. My food-micro teacher and I hated on them like crazy...

I like dark beers like bud light!

Palm - Belgium

Tommy Knocker Maple Nut Brown Ale - Idaho Springs, Colorado

Middle Ages Kilt Tilter & Black Heart Stout (Cask only) - Syracuse, NY

Ommegang - Cooperstown, NY

Brooklyn East India Pale Ale

New Belgium Sunshine Wheat - Fort Collins, CO

Chimay Cinq Cents

I'm surprised this thread hasn't spurred any discussion of cask beer (hand pumped) versus pressurized draft (from kegs). A lot of love for the bottle finished Belgian beers and Belgian replicas, but not so much for traditional British cask ales. Personally, i feel the slightly warmer temperature and lower amounts of carbonation really bring out the flavors... love the cask!

get the fuck out of here. lambics are the perfect finishing beer------certainly not a session beer, but they have their place.

any one interested should try mixxing 3/4 guiness with 1/2 raspberry lambic. A bar nearby does it and its a nice drink to have once in awhile. some do it half and half but i think its too much.

these are the mumbled words of a man left bleeding in a gutter, after a 12-pack and fights picked.... the words "Newcastle" or "Negra Modelo" are often mistakenly heard in the same situations....

I have absolute shit selection in beers right now, so these are not necessarily my favorite beers, but what I crave the most and can't get:

1. Stone IPA

2. Sierra Nevada PA

3. Rogue or Boulevard Porter

4. Yebisu

5. Fat Tire from the tap, $2 a pint from my college days. :(
