the apes? when i saw them they looked really normal. well, not normal, about as good as me, but nothing too out there.

last time i saw them the lead singer was wearing some sort of dress/smock.

his behaviour was definately weird for sure.

masaki batoh (of GHOST) is probably my top (un)fashionable music icon. strangely, there are only a few pics yielded by google image, and they are not great. but in person, he's so fucking cool.

The Apes have switched up lead singers a few times in the last few years, wit hvarying degrees of weirdness. I haven't seen them with their latest singer (Lucius or something?)

I can't really get into thier music, but I've ran into 'em a couple of places and he seems to be able to combine some hypebeastery with more fashionable elements. Seems to work for him pretty well...

Lithium. Makes us not give a flyin flockle, that's why we all talk so slow.

but really, for stage costumes, for people who make music like they do, they are completely appropriate. I checked out their site and their day to day wear is average, normal crap.
