I recommend that your next pair not be another pair of Trues or Sevens.

Be prepared for the flame, TR and SFAM dount count here, especially if you are a boy.

yea i pretty much figured that but i'm trying to get to that level, i'm 17 and where i work and where i live, no one is really into vintage levis or apc, and school is a whole different story, no one is willing to spend like over $60 on denim on any clothes for that matter, so my denim growth has kinda been stunted by that. but i do live like a couple minutes away from the denim bar so i'm planning to get a pair of apc's out of there. and their arent any shops around here that carry vintage levis, so i'm gona order them off wellgosh.com

For some reason I think Denim Bar has LVC (Levis Vintage Clothing line). They do not list the brands they carry on thier website though.

Yup...looked on the other SF and there is a list of brands.

thanks and i remember hearin about that sale, i didnt take advantage of it though

you live a couple of minutes from the denimbar? oh....just go in and speak to mauro and he'll spend you a couple of hundred bucks. ;)

seriously though, go and try on some of the stuff that's being mentioned around here, you'll get an idea of the fit and sizing without even having to ask anyone. and the beauty of crisp dry denim richly dyed.

Ya man, I would kill to not have to e-try on. But as I tried to stress in my original post, read here first to find out what you will want. For example, I thought I wanted dry jeans, and bought RRDG. After reading here for a couple days, I knew that I would rather have had a selvage model (or at least a blue one).

OMFG U HAVE TRUE RELIGION AND SEVEN OMFG OMFG.

regarding what you said about no one in the area being 'into' vintage jeans and such. why should that hold you back. if you want to wear true religion, wear it but dont do it for the people in the area...

i think that thats why brands like TR and 7 are hated here. they have that whole 'image' to them that makes people spend 200 bucks on jeans to get props from other people. its just hype, like bape. 200 bucks spent on jeans to satisfy yourself would be far better spent imo.

your next purchase should be something you want.

if you want to taste super-elitism let the board know exactly what fit and price range you are looking for and youll get recommendations.

if you prefer the props and recognition of your jeans by people in your area, i think youre good.

I think, honestly, that you should stick to whatevver you feel fits you best. TR and SFAM are pretty shitty quality a lot of the time, SFAM being better than TR, which has serious issues with stitching. dont even go near R&R, just trust me, or read up on all the complaint threads about rivets popping off, zippers breaking, buttons falling off, etc.

If you look best in those jeans, which I doubt, because there are a lot of other brands, popular ones here that are higher quality for less money ($300 can get you two pairs of APC's, which are way better than TR or SFAM, and have good fits), but if that is the style you like and what you think is best, stick with it.

(I stil have a pair of TR's, and quite a few pairs of Frankie B pants and jeans, and I love the styling so much I just am not too worried about the qulaity, but I also got then for half or less than half retail)

real talk, i mean i dont do it for the props, my first pair of premium denim were the dark evisu's, then i got another pair, then i moved to sfam, then just recently to tr. evisu really to me wasn't that great compared to sfam and tr so i lost interest in salvage denim because of that. but i wanted a pair of lvc for the longest, and we carry them in our store but only in california, we just get sent true's, evisu, antik, sfam, and tavernini. but i knew that evisu was closely comapered to lvc so that led me to thinking that lvc was better and i started researching it, and they are, and now i'm in search for a pair.

and as far as apc, i already got an apc cardigan, but i never tried on thier jeans so i never knew that they actually were good. but y'all are two hundred steps ahead of me and young dudes like me, but by the end of this year i'll be close.

and what spots online got lvc and apc? and anyone know of any spots other than neimans and saks that got dior?
