Somebody in the fashion industry told me that the world still looks at NYC for trends and inspiration. London lets say picks up trends from NYC but does them more over the top and there are more people willing to be daring over there. I will investigate further if this is true once I visit.

i've heard the same, particularly about london, but it came with the caveat that these are still phenomena confined to very specific scenes and nightclubs- it is definitely not an everyday thing, and the people wearing the most avant-garde outfit at 12 midnight are probably wearing the most conservative outfit by day. at least, that's the impression my friend who just came back from a 3-month stay in london put it.

retail was 71,400 yen, available in ~25.5cm

Well just got off the phone with the folks at Nose Glass (http://www4.synapse.ne.jp/noseglass/nose-info3.html) and just bought the leather jacket in black! :D It was originally reserved by another customer but the after seeing the jacket, today he decided not to buy it. Coming Saturday, will post pics of it when it arrives....

Do you guys know if A in NYC carries this? I'd love to see it in person.

I talked to them about a year ago about it. Julius people came into the store, but they weren't interested at the time, because they just picked up N(N) and Undercover. And with the developments upcoming in the next seasons, I doubt they'll have shelf space, unless they drop some other label.

Everything does well there. They really know how to buy, and they gear well to their clientelle. I don't think they have much viridi-anne left, if any.
