Not too familiar with balmain, but the jacket does have lambo zippers (expensive zippers), but I noticed the tags are different (black size tag on mines versus white on other guys and the few other balmain I own have white tags). Also, the seller didn't put their address on the shipping box, very suspicious. Not to mention every other of his listings is "custom made".

Tough call because these labels look more legit than the labels on the one you linked to that you mentioned was legit.

If it is fake, they went to the trouble of putting the correct article number on the jacket, which is pretty rare. If you google T266 B923, it will bring up this particular jacket. Sometimes manufactures use different size labels in a single run...I've seen it before.

Main thing that looks suspicious to me is that if you look closely at the details of a legit version (Farfetch wouldn't be selling fakes), you can see that the zippers on the version you bought go further down (closer to the hem of the jacket) than the real one pictured here:

Can you find a fake version of this jacket easily online? I find that a lot of stuff like this, although expensive, is not popular enough to counterfeit, unlike say the LV Kanye shoe collection or something like that. Just a thought.

That's because nobody is going to be able to answer your question by looking at photos. If you want a definitive answer (not just for yourself but a claim that paypal will honor) you have to go to a balmain store and have them look at it and claim that it is definitely fake. That's how it works.

Algernon is absolutely right; if you are going to pursue this through ebay, you will have to get a written statement from Balmain. However, I would be most concerned that you got this for $500 (I believe it retailed for around $2000)

hi, i have this jacket that i bought directly from balmain in paris. my jacket has a white "48" size tag.

as others have said, the dimensions of your jacket also look a little off (zips are long, quilting is off), but it could just be the pics.

i'd check with balmain.

I don't live 500 miles near any Balmain store, or I'd ask them.

And I paid $1,250 (guy had auction at $500 but ended it after I bought on paypal).

So, does anyone know? I can tell Dior Homme real/fake from pics, but that's because I've collected DH for years, I am new to Balmain.

The only thing the jacket has going for it is the lampo zippers, but after comparing the zippers to another Balmain I own that I know is real (bought on luisaviaroma), the lampo zippers on here look off (have 11 stamp on them, my real Balmain has a made in Italy stamp). Not to mention inside jacket is brown, not black. About 1/5th the weight of my other Balmain puffer jacket. And the usual concerns about loose stitching, zippers barely zip up (aka it's a cheap made), and all the sellers others items are "custom made" things, and how they didn't put return address on the package. Also, the Balmain patch on my real jacket is only stitched on sides, but this patch is stitched all the way around on all four sides. (I know Dior Homme real jackets have 4 stitches on each corner, fake ones are stitched all the way around.)

Real one from Luisaviaroma is blue jacket with blue zippers. Black/brown jackets with silver zippers are the ones buyer sold me.

Those are real Lampo zippers, or, at least the stamp matches real ones (can't comment on the poor zipping). I have silver ones with that same II stamp on a Dior Homme leather jacket. You could send it into Balmain by mail, you know.

Wow, this post just confused the sh*t out of me.

I just bought a Balmain vest/sweater on ebay, honestly it looks 100% authentic to me. It's heavy and the pin is made of real steel doesn't look cheap. But, I also have the Black size tag and the white tag looks off to me. We need to sticky Balmain real vs. fake. I've seen so many good Dior Homme fake vs. real and even pics of both next to each other. Anyone know anything?

There's a Balmain Homme group on Multiply. It's like the Dior Homme Multiply, except that nothing's ever been posted. Nevertheless, I bet there are some knowledgeable members (most of whom also belong to the DH group).

What do you guys think of these two items? Real or fake? Pictures look real (YKK zippers say mad win italy on them, white size tag, correct item number printed on the label) but seems like there are lots of fakes of the same item on ebay. I am super wary of fakes. Also how do I go about getting an official legit check? Has anyone tried emailing a Balmain store with photos?
