Tried my hand at adding accents to the outside of my card cases, I love how it turned out, probably going to line it next time, the stitches inside look a bit sloppy to me.

Its been awhile, this ones dyed in a walnut hull dye bath then hot stuffed by hand. Hard to capture.

Made fully from Horween Natural Shell Cordovan. Has 3 slots, 2 hidden slots and an expandable coin pouch. This was a first for me and I'm very pleased with the final product.

Does anyone know were I might be able to get a small piece of shell cordovan? I would love to get some Horween since they are in my home town but they wont sell direct to me. all I need is a small scrap, like maybe 6"x6". Any ideas on where I may be able to find a small piece?

Might be a bit late but The Tannery Row (Horween's smaller outfit) should be able to sort you out with some #8 or Black Shell Cordovan chips (under .75 square feet). Email [email protected] and she will help you out.

Update on the duffel project. Beginning to look like a actual bag now. Ends sewn on with piping.

So i guess this bag is pretty much complete. Handles are on, zipper installed as well as the lining. I still need to feed it with a bit of conditioner and brig up the luster with a horse hair brush.

 

I may source some brass "feet" for the bottom of the bag before i begin to use it daily..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And the interior. Went with an ecru canvas lining as I plan to really use this bag. I also didn't want to use a synthetic fiber. Other linings or materials did not seem up to the task.

Here is a "bucket bag", requested by my better half, that I finished up recently.

 

Made with Horween Essex leather (same tanning process as shell cordovan) . Lined, solid brass hardware.

 

Entirely stitched by hand, no machines used for any part of it.
