45...but the problem with this survey is that they are defining "empathy" too broadly. There seems to be a lot of questions about *readiing* people and *sympathizing* with people -- two very very very different things, yet they lump them together to determine your empathy quotient. I am an extremely good reader of people. I've always been able to predict people's habits, thoughts, wants and needs but I don't necessarily "sympathize" with them. So then am I "empathic"? No, but their survey seems to suggest that non-empathic people are bad readers of people too which is not the case. Like that question about being insensitive and not knowing why...I know perfectly well if a comment that's about to come out of my mouth is going to offend someone. But if I know I can get away with it, I'm letting it rip! :-)
