Any of you guys use your artistic talents to support yourselves?

I've got 2 good friends, Joe Polillo and Justin Lovato, and they're both supporting themselves with their work. Took a really long time, I know it was a grind, and I think they both still have to work odd jobs sometimes to make ends meet, but for the most part their art gets them by. Joe does a lot of contract/commission work...did graphics for snow/skate companies (you can see his stuff in the new SSX game, the Automaton boards), and Justin moves a lot of pieces @ galleries. It can be done, but it took years and years to get to where they are now, and still aren't getting rich. Difference with them vs other artists I know is they understand it's a business and treat it as so.
