Bookbags

Recommended Posts

Hi, I've been lurking around for a few months now, and I wanted to know what the students here use for school?

Next semester starts late August for me, and I'd like a new bookbag. I usually carry around 2 text books, a notebook and various other things, so I need something that can handle that and looks good.

there have been a few threads about backpacks

so i suggest that you run a search

-visvim hypatex (or however it's spelled) or ballistic backpack

-G1950 burton bag

-porter bags (the more hype the better :)

-overpriced supreme backpack

-those limited northface collabo bags only available in japan

id personally go with the first two but

that basically means you will have to survive until the next payday

with pasta and ragu sauce

I use a Supreme backpack. I wouldn't call it "overpriced" at all, although I got it on sale. Nice backpacks are pretty expensive.

Visvim backpacks are incredibly well made but the Hypatex 20 is VERY small. It's made to fit a laptop and then maybe a few other things. I don't think it would fit several textbooks, notebooks, etc. plus a laptop.

I would go for the

porter backpack (big one)

Visvim elk pack

supreme pack

in that order....

porter one is like 400, visvim around the same and supreme is 150

I use a hand knitted and felted tote bag to carry my stuff in. Ppped a lining in it and it has a pocket that fits my graphing calc perfect and another one that is just right for my mp3 player.

If you are handy with the sewing machine, I highly suggest making your own tote, you will get the perfect size, and exactly what kind of pockets you need.

if you are a hypebeast, then it's a must

everytime i go to NY or LA, i always tell myself to pick up a supreme bag

i go into the store and im always like "130 for this..." and walk out

when i come back to shitlanta, i totally regret not having bought one

That's like the fifth time I've seen that seller put up that backpack. He also sells fake Jordans so that turned me off from anything on his items list, and having private feedback doesn't really help either.

My Supreme 20th does its job well.

I use an OGIO Metro. I bought it about 2 years ago before starting university. It has lots of pockets and can hold my massive Acer laptop in its sleeve, a 3" binder and a big book in the main pocket, and pencils and crap in the smaller ones.

Construction looks solid and I havent had any problems with it. My only complaint is that it doesnt have anythign to compress the bag part, so it always looks big and people say i look like a little kid going to school when I wear it.

They are like speedos, they issue them at the airport just before they leave as a part of an "american repellant" kit. This kit also includes really gay woven leather full foot sandals and multicolor silk shirts.

I have a quicksilver backpack that ive had since hichschool that is really well constructed. I dont exactly use it however, as I would look like a jackass bringing it to work, so i bought a montblanc briefcase. QUALITY.

Headporters good, but I'd advise against carrying heavy books in a tote. Been there, done that, broke the shoulder.

I have a Visvim Cordu 22 which looks like this...

Sorry old pic!

You can get the Hypatex one too which looks like this...

Yeah okay they're "hyped" up a lot, but at least they live up to the hype some what, compared to say Supreme bags. In my opinion. Or maybe I'm just kidding myself?

the fact that the visvim has elk on it, defies hype.. ill
