1. Damir Doma ‘Junko’ Unbalanced Jacket

sold.

2. In Aisce ‘Gaea’ Jacket

FW2011/Cotton (variegated)/Black/size 2 (xs)

This jacket basically does not exist: none of In Aisce’s retailers—including Layers or Ink—are listing it; in fact, it was actually not on the floor of IF Soho when by sheer accident its existence was mentioned to me. Where to even begin: the jacket is defined by its undulating lines at both top (stand collar, snap enclosure at the neck) and bottom (swooping enclosure on the right side of the jacket; asymmetrical, almost shark fin-like cutout on the left) and the fantastic variegated fabric, a signature of Jona’s. There’s literally nothing like it on the planet. Never worn; retailed for $1550.

Measurements: happy to take them, but I can define this pretty simply: you need to be a size 34 or 32 in the chest, and skinny arms are a must. I’ve got a 17†chest—note the fit pics.

(Note: unisex, obviously. She is wearing a size 1, which is a women's XS; size 2 is a men's XS.)

Bespoke handmade heather gray skinny suit 34S + TWO pairs of suit pants (30/32 + 30/30)

This is a custom-made heather gray wool skinny suit, made for me in September 2010 by Adrian Park, owner and head tailor of De Louice (http://www.louicechicago.com/index.php), a custom design and tailor shop; the suit was made by hand here in Chicago.

When designing the suit, I had very specific requirements for its construction, which I’ll list here (and should be evident in the photos):

* Three-season wool

* Shorter jacket length

* Two button front enclosure

* High arm holes/slim sleeve lengths * Body-hugging silhouette

* Narrow shoulders

* No back vents

* Very slim lapels (less than 1â€)

* No pleats

* Suit trousers in two styles: 1) typical mid-rise skinny; 2) Thom Browne-style, with a higher waist and ankle-length hit.

As you can see in the photos and my specifications, both the jacket and pants are very slim-fitting (though quite comfortable), with many of the trademark design features of Hedi Slimane-era Dior Homme. Be sure to check the measurements below; I am 5’10†and a shade below 140 pounds. (Given the jacket length, the suit would also work for men shorter than me.)

Jacket

* Armpit-to-armpit: 17 inches

* Shoulders: 16 inches

* Length (top-of-collar to hem): 27 inches

* Sleeve length: 23.5 inches

Pants

* Waist: 15.5 inches (on both)

* Pant length (hem to top-of-the-waist): 42/40.5 inches

* Inseam: 32/30 inches

The suit is basically new, worn a half-dozen times (less now as I work from home more often, hence why I’m selling); the price is 33% less than the nearly $600 I paid for the suit. Shipped in a keepsake garment bag; suit has been dry cleaned for you. Email me if you need more photos or info.

Bespoke Slim Fit Black Blazer 36R

This essential piece of the sartorial puzzle was designed for and made by--well, in conjunction with an old Brooklyn tailor--a guy who soon went on to work on suits at Duncan Quinn. It shows: the fit, the materials, the look--all are perfect. I hope my admittedly terrible photos give some indication of that. You'll note that I've also taken a photo of the "label": mine was the fourth of five black sport coats that he designer and tailor created; each was made to the specifications of the individual buyer.

Details:

-Italian wool (not a summer jacket, but I wear well into the spring)

-slight sheen to fabric

-two-button front enclosure

-center-back vent

The fit is the right kind of modern: the silhouette is slim but still structured (normal level of padding at shoulder); the length is a touch shorter than your average suit jacket, but that's an advantage if you pair this with more a tapered jean. Measurements below:

Pit to Pit: 18"

Shoulder: 16.25"

Length (hem to collar): 28"

I've loved this blazer for four years--only giving it up b/c I couldn't resist splurging on a Kris Van Assche blazer.

further drop on the bespoke blazer.

Also: Diesel Shioner 3A7 Gray Skinny Jeans 29x32

Shioner skinny jeans with low rise in a light grey (silver-ish, with a slight beige/rust undertone) denim; the wash is the rare 3A7, made only for the AW 2010 season, and sold only on Ssense.com, where they were purchased for $170. Distressed gunmetal rivets. Darts at front pockets. Tone on tone stitching. Zip fly. 66% cotton, 34% elastomultiestere. The jeans have been broken in and worn extensively; there is some light wear on the back pockets (see the fourth photo) but the item is in very good shape and the fit, as you can see, is remarkable. $50 shipped.
