I wear a 29 in 501 stf, can probably fit into 28. I wear a 27 in s5000bk and can fit 26.

I thought the first/limited run sams had upside-down "A"s and re-runs had the rightside-up "A"s :confused:

Measurements:

Tagged Waist: 30

Tagged Length: 36

Front Rise: 10.5

After 3 Hour Hot Soak:

Tagged Waist: 30

Tagged Length: 36

Waist: 30

Inseam: 35.5

Hem: 8.0 (flat)

Front Rise: 10.25

Rear Rise: 13.5

Upper Thigh: 11

Knee: 8.75

As you can see the length shrunk by a whole 3 inches. The waist shrunk to tagged size.

my waist from the belly button around is 31 inches exactly. so, they were a little tight after the hot soak. but now they are starting to loosen up nicely. really like these.

that's really quite surprising that they shrunk so much, both in the waist and the inseam length. i don't think my VXs have shrunk down to 36 yet after 3 hot washes

i was a little surprised also, but i think somebody on here said their VXs shrunk 4 inches total after a few hot washes.

the waist had me worried a little bit, so i made sure i put them on a little wet. then i did the hanger trick in the waist. even with that, they still shrunk 2.5 inches.

i'm about to get them hemmed 2 more inches. should be perfect then.

Size down 1 if you're going to wash/soak them regularly, size down 2 for a "safe" fit if you're going to wear them a lot without soaking, they stretch like a bitch.. sizing down 1 has the most perfect fit for only about a week post-soak.

so im a size 32 waist and won my Bk's in a contest however the only size they had was a 32. now that ive worn em in for awhile after a very hot soak theyve stretched like a bitch can i take it to a tailor so he can take in the waist? or will that not work cause then the denim wont stretch anymore?

suggestions? they fit ok now I guess after a couple hot machine washes they will shrink but still.....

i probably could have done a 29. all they had was a 30 so i went with that. my legs are kind of big though from running, so the 29 might have been too tight around the thigh area. i'm happy with them.

I'd just soak them whenever stretching gets out of hand. Indigo loss is very minimal, and they will go back to their intended size. If you were to take them to a tailor to have them taken in, what happens if when you wash them they shrink a couple inches and fit like crap?

^those are looking nice man prob the best faded pair of BK's ive seen yet, fuck these are hard to break in but ive noticed the heavy cotton is really comfortable, so its easy to wear em hard, I can only imagine a pair of 21 oz, would be my substitute for sweat pants:)

ddml -- been wearing them 4 or 5 days a week for the last 4 1/2 months or so, but haven't been doing anything too crazy in them. most of the wear is from sitting on my ass at work, late nights in trashy bars or lots of walking around nyc

definitely agree on the buttons. the brass peeking out of the black paint looks sweet. and the fit and feel of the denim is awesome as well. totally love these jeans.

i don't know, the samurai boast have a good black precedent already, i'd be afraid to throw up some pics until i know they're equal..

Just recieved my pair today.

They fit pretty snug right now, so now I'm debating on whether or not I should soak them...

Probably going to go with a 2 hour soak sometime soon, I hope they don't shrink TOO much, but w/ all the replies that they hardly shrank, I believe I will be fine.

after a 5 hour hot/warm soak, the waist shrunk 2.5 inches to the tagged size. the inseam shrunk about 2.5 inches also. if you don't want the waist to shrink too much, put a hanger in the waistline. then put them on when they are still damp. no matter how tight they are, they will stretch.

I think I will perform a three hour soak fairly soon from now.

Will probably wear them from when they are a little damp till they dry.
