SBK. It'll be fall before it gets a soak. I'm working to get some wear on other denim right now. Plus, with the heat we've been getting, I prefer to wait. I like the bit of selvege inside the coin pocket; that's just enough of a little something extra; not overdone like Jean Shop. And the black stitching is boss.

Denime bk. Sorahiko bk. Samurai bk. I'm done.

Although, 45rpm has a very tough looking pair of black jeans just in. The dye job is closer to the Levis panther black color of old. Very Lou Reed.

So, my 29s still measured 31" after the second soak. I'm happy with my size. I actually could have gotten a 28, if it wasnt for the seam that runs between the backpockets, it really cuts into your ass!

They are actually in almost boiling water now. Just want to get rid of all the shrinkage before I hem them. They were 32" or maybe 32.25" raw and 31" after soak.

yeah just like the 5000x it only gave off 1 1/2 via soak. these might have to be washed the 1st time to get the maximum shrinkage.

i have the 5000vx and had similar issues. finally, i threw them in the dryer and then cold soaked them one more time and hung dry to get the stiffness back. that worked like a charm, and now they fit perfectly

i think you have to be rough wiht these, im going 100* soak. maximum boil.

My understanding is there are 3 that are going to be raffled off. There should have been a white postcard attached to the jeans, at least there was one with mine. Fill that out and send it to Samurai and you get entered in the raffle.

I really like the fit and detailing on the 5000BKs, but I have to say that I just don't get the point of 17oz. denim. It wouldn't really protect you if you laid down your bike, so why?

These are great; if they were 13.75-15 oz. denim they might be perfect.
