ive had my big E's for about a week now. i got a 32, i normally wear a 30, i want to wash them so that the jeans will shrink to my size, but i don't want to risk the jeans from fading. how can i prevent this? my friend suggested just throwing them in the dryer w/o washing them first and it should shrink a bit. any help will be greatly appreaciated. thank fellas! cheers.

Once water hits'm they'll fade and shrink but if you only rinse in cold it will keep both to a min. Check these 1996 LVC 201s that have had only 2 rinses in cold and also a pair of 37 501s (raw/deadstock) that I wore for about 5 months without a rinse.

37 501s worn for 5 months without a rinse. They have about 10 cold water rinses now.
