So i've refined my shirts... not sure where im going with them yet, but im heading into a more 'luxurious' direction. still simple stuff, but i think it is pretty aesthically pleasing. comments/criticism?

Copy and Paste the link, It won't direct link because of the @ in the URL, sorry.

hi kyle,

if you mean the shirts on your blog, this is what i think:

-- i personally wouldn't touch the supreme logo but that's just me. other people have already done it. you want to stay away from stuff that's already been done.

-- the mug shots are funny - not sure if you know anything about screenprinting but if you wanted to go for a photo realistic muliti-color print the separations alone will cost you about $1,000 for each design - that's just so you can print films and have them printed.

--i don't know if i would do pics of ghostface either - alife seems to have that on lock and then there's the mighty healthy "listen to ghostface" tee - so again, another subject that has gotten alot of love already from other peeps. not saying you shouldn't do it - but you should give it your own twist rather than just the photo.

a word of advice - make sure you know all the latest designs that are out - you don't want to come out with something too close to something that's been done - people can be vicious out there - and with all the t-shirt lines out there - you gotta bring heat.

i hope this helps. good luck!

mama, Thanks for the comments but I mean the shirts in the link in the original post. Those shirts in my blog were just stuff I was playing around with quickly but scrapped all of those designs. Check the link if you have time, and by the way thanks for the response you sent me.

And thanks for being so kind about the shirts in the blog, haha.

sorry! i commented on the wrong shirts!

well i pasted the link and saw them - these look really good but i'm afraid what i said above also applies here:

king stampede has already done an allover polkadot tee - in fact, i think i saw a string about that particular shirt on here somewhere - do a search it may turn up. or go to boundlessny.com and it's on the site.

i love the "oliver" but again just this weekend i saw a girl wearing an allover print houndstooth tee - switching up the color is good - haven't seen that.

the other stuff looked good - allover prints are doing well right now.

those actually look really good, minus the polka dot tee, but just because king stampede just did the same thing.

if anything comes out of this, consider the blue/black t hill and blue/wht oliver copped.

i also like how you stepped away from the rapper/criminal picture t's too, these just look more... mature? not the best word but it works

dont mean to be a dick, but your shirts look pretty standard. the all over print stuff is getting over hyped imo. what is the cut going to be like, and what kind of shirts are you going to use?

Don't worry about being a dick, thanks for the honest opinion. I am planning on using AAA given I can find all the colours I want. I'm pretty sure I can, they have a good selection. AA has the best colours but the fit is off once they shrink. I know allover is hyped but only in this niche market that we are submersed in, once Volvom starts doing all overs (they probably will by the end of the year), then the trend is dead.

Also, despite the dots being already done, do you think metallic ink would be too much?

the organic is dope, that is if it hasn't been done yet. quality and cut is key, i dont think your stuff will sell on just some generic shirts because all of the designs just aren't there yet. don't compromise the quality just to make a quick buck (if you are trying to make this thing last). from here i think you should come up with some more designs and work on finding some quality shirts to print them on.

Thanks for that info, the KS dots shirt looks good, mine is too similar. And too bad about the houndstooth, I did think there was anything out there yet. I guess it was bound to come eventually.

dots and oliver ones are cool, garcia one is....might as well tie dye them yourself and sell them that way, not really in the loop with the thornhill one....are you pressing these or are screening them yourself, cuz that would be a bitch for all of them...minus the warhol one...

I'm not doing these myself. Too many that I would be doing it 'till 2007. I do plan on tie dying them myself, using a dye that is the same colour but darker than the shirt. Gonna see how they come out.

Also planning on buying a different font for the "Thornhill" shirt, something more refined but still Hebrew, and thinking of doing a girls "I Have A Crush On Holden Caufield" shirt.

Was looking to use a muted lime green shirt too but I saw supreme used it this year and apparently King Stampede too.

Yeah I'm going to drop it, doesn't have universal appeal, plus they won't give me the grant with a name like that.

I guess you can only 'get' the name if you have seen all the rich suburban kids with jewfros who think they are hard.

for the houndstooth one, boxfresh put out a t that has the allover print on the front but is solid on the sleeves and back. looks very similar, i tried it on in toronto on the weekend.

i cant say id pay for any of those shirts unless the fit was something spectacular.

in terms of you doing something for the grant, this is pretty cool. in terms of doing something new and original, it's not there. i would still wear some of these designs though. way to grab gov't cash.

i find AAA shirts too thick. quality of AA is maybe not as nice but i like wearing them more.

To be honest, I don't like any of them. They're all way, way too loud for my tastes, or just not at all aesthetically pleasing. Although I do like some all-over print things, I don't like these. IMO the patterns are too dense and not interesting enough, and the colors of some of these don't go well together.
