the bit of black discoloration around the tongue and ankle came from my black waxed drkshdw jeans and is unavoidable. happened the first time they were worn. i think it will wipe off but i never bothered as it will happen again straight away. the final two pics are of a repair that was done. i ordered the shoes online and when they arrived there was a tiny tear in the inner heel (super soft suede). rather than return them i had a strip of soft white suede attached to cover the entire inner heal to keep that from ever happening again. it is an excellent repair and was done at the same time the rubber soles were attached by a superb cobbler. it is an improvement on the original design and i'll do it to the other shoe if i keep them. they aren't super easy to put on and take off and the strip of suede will prevent future damage.
