I recently post some personal thoughts on 7ts and my general conclusion is that it would not be re release(yeah that silver foil prototype while in j23 fit Lenny being rocking) and conclusion was confirmed Jack himself at Instagram. Alternative most likely be a smaller backpack, like the 13ts as 8ts replacement, and the new one confirmed by this gq interview.

There's always the 3a-7ts if you were around for that. (Still waiting for a re-release)

Funny I’m wanting Ooe’s because I need a break from my TCB contest jeans

    Ooe-Yofukuten & Co.

If my memory serves me correctly I think the decision was that there would be one once the TCB contest was over.

Is there a contest? I need Ooe’s badly and there are none available or for sale in my size anywhere...

Simple is not the first thing that comes to mind when I ponder anything Acronym. Everyday yes. But simple...?

Happy Jeans - Tcb 20s contest thread

Thanks for the info, @SmokeStackLightning If these are as slim as the Hawaiis, then I sadly might need a 33. My Hawaiis do have a little extra room, but they're actually a 34. edit: Just realized that I've posted all this in 100% the wrong thread. Looking back, mention of the "main TCB thread" should've been a dead giveaway, but oh well—so much for that.

Tons of stuff to preorder on OD for the 40th anniversary, including things I don't think I've seen on the site. That crazy patchwork jacket is fun but I'm not sure I'd want to pay $800 for it...

My pair in size 34 raw i recently got measured close to what Maynard has listed @julian-wolf Shrunk a fair amount, but feels like they stretched a decent amount. I didn't record measurements for this pair like i normally do after a hot hand wash. I imagine there is some shrink left but I'm not going to worry about it with this pair. Edit: I have a 33 in the Sugar Cane Hawaii, and a 34 in the 1947. Tcb 50s are much slimmer in the top block than the 1947s, and fit similarly to my Hawaiis, maybe a touch slimmer but not by much.

Thanks Martin, but I've actually already seen the measurements as posted posted over on Denimbro—based on yours and the listings on TCB's site, it could go either way, so at this point I'm more looking for anecdotes and for thoughts on stretch, shrink, *etc.* If I'm honest, your bump to the sale thread was the main catalyst for me asking : )

@julian-wolf I have some BNWT 50s in size 32 for sale (see main TCB thread). I can send you the measurements if you like.
  18. I would use lighter fluid on a rag to remove that residue. It would weaken the adhesive bonds quickly and it evaporates quickly with no need for laundering after. A product like Goop will require laundering because it is not as volatile and does not evaporate quickly. Soaps are going to require more aggressive friction which will increase likelihood of releasing indigo dye. EDIT: I don’t know how much adhesive is on there but you might place one hand inside of the pants and push outward at the location. Maybe using a razer blade perpendicular to the fabric and lightly scraping across can remove some of the adhesive. Continue to keep your hand behind the spot and push outward as you dab with the cloth. You want to use something like a white cotton t-shirt rag. If you use a colored rag you will risk transfering the color and if you use a nylon or polyester rag then the lighter fluid will disolve and melt it.

This has probably been covered before, but how's the sizing on the '50s jeans? I take a 33 in Sugar Cane and Roy, for reference, and have pretty meaty thighs. Not sure whether I'd be better off with a 32 or a 33.
  20. bought some inexpensive chainstore selvedge. They had those adhesive strips with the size on the thigh (there is a reason you don't see these at Self Edge). So now I have 2 pairs of jeans with noticible adhesive residue strips. How do I ditch the marks without laundering?

You could use a proxy and buy direct if they’ve got your size in stock.
