How many pairs of jeans do you own?
Dr_Heech replied to UnhappySupremeCustomer's topic in superdenim
Yeah best to try and get some wear out of them. My old Roy jeans are a lower front rise and slimmish so not my style anymore. Fucked if l'm giving them away, l just chuck them on if l'm doing cementing or something similar. Get some more miles out of them. Fair play for having the patience to unpick the cinch strap stitching, l just cut mine to leave 2 riveted squares. -

👍 I did the same with a pair of Full Count 0105SFS (an old 1937 style export model I bought deadstock from eBay - with upside down Levi’s arcs). They were slightly low rise for a cinchback pair so I unpicked the cinch stitching, removed the cinch rivets and wore them with a belt. - Today

Well l never wanted to sell them in the first place as l love the duck digger denim and the details. So for me the Warehouse 1927 (it's actually their old 1922) model has a lower back rise (15") than all my other jeans, which usually are a 16" minimum. With all the hardware around the waistband (suspender buttons, cinch strap and buckle) my belt would push this hardware into my lower back and it would be painful. Removing all this 'gumph' made them more comfortable to wear. Wearing them now 🙂 -
WTS J74-PX Black, Large - $1,000 + shipping and fees Small pin sized hole on shoulder pocket. Comes w/ beat up baggy and spec sheet. Keen to get rid of open to trades and offers. https://imgur.com/a/KRVfDik

J29-DS restocks again with most sizes. For this price range personally I would recommend the WS or LP version, or keep praying for the J27-E(nylon one) somedays. But DS still be good though.

What alterations did you do to the Warehouse ‘27 pair Charlie? -

Not quite as many as some of you supermods but enough for me. Decided a simple tweak of my previous update was the best way to go. Nothing much has changed in 2 years apart from altering my previous for sale WH 1927s and then wearing them. They feel cut wise like a 47 imo. Also the love affair with my smaller pair of Lee's is still very on and off. Other than that, just enjoying my denim. -

I've worn the denim vest quite a bit. I have it in the largest size they offered. I also bought the duck vest one size down (Hiro's opinion was that it was too small but after examining the test photo from Inspiration I liked the look so I got it after the fact from S&S). That light weight kind of denim doesn't seem to show wear very fast. I'll examine it tonight & see if it's worth photographing. As far as practicality goes, it will hold a bunch of stuff especially if sizing up for a loose fit. Pockets everywhere including the internal game pockets. I've considered trying put one of the terriers in there. Might have a go tonight lol. Update - dog didn't quite fit...

Due to some issues at the denim mill used to produce the mixed fiber denim Sugar Cane is no longer producing these year round. Both the Okinawa and Hawaii will only be made once a year or so, making them a bit difficult to find in stock unless you buy a pair right when a retailer restocks it.

Damn, Okinawa restock....having trouble resisting!

I'm 183cm/73kg and wear 32x32 for 711. I have faily long legs/high hips and the lower rise is still fine without a belt, as @beautiful_FrEaK said.

Very nice but too small for me.

What did you land Julian? The link doesn't work for the UK
-
Yeah I'm not against low rises in general so the extra room in the hips and thighs is reassuring. Will probably go for it...
