42s arrived this week. Washing them now. Also grabbed a Jesse western shirt which unfortunately is not quite my style and will be posted in the sale thread tomorrow. Happy to pass on a deal for anyone interested in a size 16.

I knew I should have bought everything at the FC store while I was there. $163USD for my 1101W. $351 at Bears now? Warehouse will be next for sure...

I prefer the silhouette of the 711, especially for wearing at ankle length with trainers in the summer. I also quite the low rise to wear with untucked t-shirts. I'm pretty confident the 34 will work for me. (But fingers still crossed...)

Why not just get the 714 have you tried them yet the rise is perfect on them not too high or low and the same denim

I saw them mentioned on r/rawdenim like three days ago.

I don’t want to get silly about it, but it’s possible FC keeps tabs on this thread, or maybe the other site as I would wager a not totally insignificant number of international sales are driven from a few specific corners of the internet. The price thing is ridiculous to me, but the good news is that it means my FC collection is definitely complete!

SUPERDENIM SMALL QUESTIONS THREAD (Use instead of making new threads)
discwork replied to minya's topic in superdenim
I like the fatigue shirt jacket I have from them! Good fabric and construction. I imagine their other items are solid too. -
Yeah rise is very tricky. I always take it into account but I don't generally wear jeans with as low a rise as the 711. I think I probably have a bigger waist to hips ratio than most so the rise makes a bigger difference. Otherwise I like the fit and the denim (and the short length for summer) so I'll probably get the 34 once I manage to move the 33 on.

Sorry to hear that! Factoring in the rise can be tricky. All I can say I have the SC1943 and SC1946 both in W34 as well as the 711 and the latter feels smaller.

The 33 didn't work out. It seems the difference between my true waist and my hips, where the very low rise 711 sits, was greater than I thought. So these are now in the sale thread.

^ I remember seeing a pair of these where the pocket patch stitching had come undone. From the outside it's blank rough-out leather, but underneath it was a standard Evisu Godhead patch, turned over and cut in half! I liked the make-do attitude. Lovely jeans, in any case

IIRC, BEARS did this already 2 years ago or so (just check this thread) and also because of FC not wanting them to undercut the overseas retailers. But the prices went back. We will see what happens.

I might have a boot problem... New to me Vintage late 1940s/ early 1950s Nocona "Pee Wee" cowboy boots with hearts and wings inlays in dark chocolate brown. Possibly Kangaroo. Vamps are impossibly soft and relatively unblemished given the age. See the ad below. The shaft has a few tears that will need repair but otherwise these are built like tanks. Nearly 75 years old! They definitely don't make them like they used to. Obsessed with the elegant profile of these. The unique shapes of the vintage lasts they used to use on boots were much more interesting and elegant than the generic modern ones. Like a vintage Coca-cola bottle compared to modern can. Curves all day. Look at that waist! The taller underslung riding heels certainly help. Big shout out to Jane and Taylor @theshopoutpost for going above and beyond the call of duty.

@nick682 Celluloid seems to still have the older prices - 2102 is listed for $260 USD rather than $450 at Bears. Same thing seems to be true for 0105 and 1101 pricing

i vouch for @Deadassb too

Been swapping out used toilets all week at work. So tossed the OOE in a wash to get the nasty shit off literally. This person was blind and living in filth. That’s blood and shit in the toilet. Quite depressing and eye opening.

@AlientoyWorkmachine Mine too! I got 4 pairs for the price of 2 or something. I knew it couldn't last
