How to lose indigo?

i screwed up on my nudie rrds. i pinched the creases a lot and has developed a lot of artificial contrasting. i plan to even out the color by washing them as often as i can to neutralize the unwanted contrast. can i achieve this by doing frequent wasing and soaking??

how bad is the artificial contrast? if it is really set in you will have to wash a lot to even it out. maybe soaking them a lot will take away the artificial creases...maybe iron them out. the color will still be gone from that area so you have to take away the rest of the indigo if you don't want to see them.

On a related note, i'm worried about the combs on my new standards. I have worn them cuffed for awhile, and the colour has begun to fade at my knees. But the other night i decided to uncuff them and just let them collect at my ankles, and it seems that new combs are forming slightly higher than the old ones. Will this screw up the wear later? It's really stupid because i should have just worn them uncuffed from the start, but i (mistakenly) thought they looked better cuffed. Just worried that when i wash them later, the knees will turn out hideous.

Be very careful man, if the creases behind the knee are not folding in the same place as before you uncuffed, they'll start to wear differently. It depends i guess on how much honeycombing you had before you uncuffed.

i know you just want your jeans to turn out perfect. but dont sweat it so much.

your jeans will not be hideous.

do you think people thought out the wear patterns on all those amazing vintage examples that sell for sick amounts on ebay? often times the best results come when the wearer ceases thinking about his pants and just wears them. a lot. lives in them. becomes one with them.

total denim sybiosis. put caution to the wind. plant some flowers. pull out a tree stump. hang them outside. let them absorb the enviornment.

the mud and the blood and the beer.

kind of a post modern taoism applied to jeans. just let them be. don't worry they will look awesome despite even your best efforts to fok them up.

and who knows?

maybe it will give you extra cool honeycombs and everyone will start alternating cuffing and uncuffing on some kind of odd/even cycle to try and copy your results.

next people will wear raw denim backwards to try and get a nice hige across your ass.

i'm not a mod or a rocker. i'm a mocker.

Just wear and wash frequently. I agree with other posters - don't worry to much about them.

If you REALLY need to lose indigo, then lightly brush with a fine grit sandpaper the entire leg. This will take off a layer of indigo and blur the lines a bit. And then wash them hot with a regular detergent. Add a cap of bleach to the machine if you want to remove more colour quickly.
