Iron Army Jeans

So I had my unintentional 2nd soaking of my sebastians a couple days ago when I got caught in a tropical downpour in the rainforest in Southern Brazil (so THAT's why they call it a RAINforest...). Let me go ahead and discourage anyone who was thinking about using tropical rain as a method for cleaning jeans... they smelled TERRIBLE afterwards. Actually, they still do. I'm trying to hold out a couple more months before my first real wash, but it's getting difficult...

Anyway, I was quite proud of myself for McGuyver-ing this method for drying my jeans in a hotel room a couple days later (when they were STILL damp):

That's a makeup mirror, hairdryer, mini nail-file and plastic bag.

hey i just got a pair of iron army hito itos. i purchased them from a sufu member and i can tell he didnt wear it much, but theres a smell to it that i dont really like. is that how iron armies normally smell? and when i febrezed it, the smell got a lil worse. so i took them to the dry cleaners. will the cleaners get the smell out without fading or taking away the sheen of the jeans?

Sweet, I can't wait to see how some of the guys are doing. I don't know why, but I might just pick up a pair of rinsed jeans from Nirvana in Red Bank, when I have some money. I have a feeling that they don't carry any raw, mainly because of the fact that a lot of people still consider raw cutting edge. I'll post some pictures when I get them. Until then, I look forward to seeing the 777 pictures.

wierdnhfan1, you should just buy a pair off our online store...if you want a raw pair of novio's that is. http://store.ironarmyclothing.com

woot woot

*IRON ARMY

Yeah, I just need to figure the waist size and then I'll decide from there. I'm normally 29 in Levi's and various other jeans. I'm just a little worried that the 29s will stretch out and be too large. Anyone got any advice for me.

hey guys, so i just got a pair of the raw hiro ito's and they are way too long for me to cuff or stack (i'm 5'7" and like cuffs but the cuff necessary here would be up to my shins)... i want to get them hemmed but i'm worried that 6 months down the line, when i do my first wash, the length will shrink down too much so that they'll be too short at that point. anyone iron army wearers been through a wash and know what to expect in length shortening? thoughts? thanks guys

no problem man, thats a great compliment to hear. we try to kill it at customer service, don't always do that cause things get so busy but yea. all the superfuture people rule. it's cool to get into the mind of people who own, or are thinking of owning our product.

in my opinion, they are both nice, depends on what kind of look you prefer, the novio is very subtle and tonal looking, but the sebastian is more of a "classic" looking contrast denim. They sell pretty evenly for us, although i've never seen a really good pair of raw novio's worn out yet so you could be the first. oh yea and if your wondering, they are made from the exact same pattern and fabric

This is related to Iron Army and why you should always check the prices before you buy.

I went to this little town that is near the college that I go to in New Jersey called Red Bank. The last time that I went there a few months back, I noticed that this store called Nirvana, it's kinda of a woman's store, but they carry a very small amount of men's clothing, that the had a few pairs of Iron Army jeans laying in the front of the store. Well, today I was going to go in at try on a pair and maybe in a few months pick up a pair. After looking around for a few minutes, weeding through the True Religions, Joe's, and ever a couple of pairs of Cheap Mondays that they just got in, I found the pairs that were on the lower shelf of a table. I looked at the tag that the shop had put on and discovered there were a pair of the Novio Fernandez that I'm thinking about. Remembering that they retail price on the IA store was $198, I looked to to check the price. To my surprise, I discover that they were, $230. I quickly put down the price tag and was a little pissed that they were marking up a pair of jeans that I wanted and that the other jeans, such as basic True Religions were going for retail. I guess that because almost everything in the town gets marked up some way or another. My other guess is that they just want to make a little money off them. That's just my rant, sorry if I wasted anyone's time.

^^ I think that's a justified rant. Hopefully they don't sell well and then they mark them down! Unfortunately that's the way the market works, eh? If someone will pay $230 for them, then the store has every reason to charge that much for them!

Well, it took me about 3 times as long as Landon.... but I've got my first legitimate crotch-hole. Greeeeeat.

(sorry for the quasi-pornographic photo!)

Now I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think that this new hole may have something to do with doing this the night before I discovered it:

Hm....

Thanks, I guess that I should wait and see what happens. I hope that they realize that their price is too high and then mark them down. There's always the cheap mondays, the only thing that I can afford in the store right now.
