The buttons on the fly look completely brand new.

I also bought these, really like the fit and all.

has anyone heard or know about this brand?

another question, do levis ever make their jeans with the selvedge showing on the coin pocket and/or the belt loop?

Well, those are tricky.

They are repros but the waist tag is wrong. it looks like it says 501 0037. 501s came in 501-0117 and 501-0217 STF and preshrunk respectively. That tag is like a 70's tag.

The top V stitch and fly placket are in yellow. LVC 47, 55, and 66 have orange top stitches. Japan repros I have have orange as well. The only ones with ayellow top stitch are 1944 LVC. In general, the V stitch looks wrong.

The top button looks like alloy with a champagne color.

They don't look like they have hidden rivets.

They look like they might have selvage in the watch pocket.

The indigo looks like it wasn't dipped very many times (like LVC.)

They look like they might be an 80's Levis Japan jean. The top button should be J22 or something. If there is no top button number, they are probably not Levis.

Those other jeans look pretty cool, do you have more pics of them? Do they say they are by Justin?

Carpe Denim! (not the jean brand silly!)

I am doubtful. Those jeans have the stock control tag - the retailer could tear off a strip and keep a record of what sizes they'd sold. In my recollection that appears in the late 70s and postdates the big E era. I have seen quite a few of the Japanese repros, which appeared from 87 I think, and they looked different - in fact, msot of them featured excellent Kurabo denim.
