New to buying denim

Sorry for sounding like a noob but i plan to purchase my first pair of selvedge denim. But i do have some concern about how some jeans fit. I am around a 34 waist and like to wear my pants just a little bit baggy. Any one have any good recommendation? Price doesn't matter much to me as i want the highest quality i can get but it shouldn't clear out my bank account. I plan to wear it for months on end as well thanks!

Only looking to spend a few hundred. Most likely not over 300.

There's no point in spending a lot of money on dry denim then wearing it baggy. It'll just look like shit in the longrun cause you're not wearing them slim.

so wearing them baggy is fine, they will just age differently.

how about ordering some Japanese jeans? loose cuts are VERY common, and the quality is the best.

Why not go for some LVCs? (Levis Vintage Collection)

Ignore what everyone on here says! Just go for whatever you feel most comfortable in.

For example, the look of the moment is the skinny ball breaker, arse crack showing jeans.

I like regular fit, sometimes roomy (but not baggy) - its just all about personal taste.

If you want 'quality' denim you should look into Japanese or Italian made jeans I guess.

They DONT have to be selvedge to be nice jeans! Despite what every one on here will often say

I was also thinking of some APC's or LVC's but wasn't quite fimilar with the cut. Which cuts are the best for what i am looking for?

in APC you probably want Rescue or English. in LVC i think you might like the 1955 501 cut.

Damn. I haven't seen a pair of Rescues or English's in a 32 for quite some time. I'll try to look out for those LVCs. Any other tips? thanks guys. appreciate it

I don't know if this was needed but maybe it will help. I just threw on a pair of jeans which fit me pretty well. Length could be a little shorter though. Any cuts like this pair in apc levis etc etc?

i wouldn't say those are "baggy", those look like a pretty regular fit to me.

RRDS is a good suggestion, along with APC rescue. Can't really go wrong with either of those.

maybe Eternal 811 or 5EP straight leg (shame those have a zipper fly).

samurai momotarou are nearly gone - only a 36 and 38 left

they were a special edition of 100 for a japanese dealer and there won't be any more

the s5000vx are similar but slightly slimmer

The ones qwerty has up are Gap 1969's. Are those the ones with the red and black checkerboard pocket lining?

Yah the honeycombs look pretty nice, but the whiskers down the leg are kinda ugly. Esp the tiger-stripe like lighter areas.

This is my pair of 1969's, before I got the Levis Skinners I currently wear every day:

The whiskering is more subtle.
