i couldn't watch ponyo dubbed into english, i much prefer the original with subtitles, but that's generally my rule with anime anyway. to each their own.

I actually enjoy the dubbed Miyazaki as much as the original. I like the dubbed Ghost in the Shell films and tv series more than the original. I'm sure that's blasphemy

It is not uncommen in the city where I live (Canberra). Organizations and families are having all kinds of parties to celebrate xmas... can hear "merry xmas" everywhere these days.

For this party we had last night, the host has been doing this for decades. Family and friends get together 10 days or so before xmas. It might be easier. Because many of them have travelling plans during xmas hodiday.
