i took a quick ride down to the Oceanfront to check out some of the older hotels. many of them are being demolished so newer ones can come in.

the city demolished a bunch of older stripmalls (including the Jewish Mother) to make way for some new generic shopping stores.

while i was there, i ran into these guys

thanks...yeah, permatour! sunreal day out today. low 80's, nice breeze. was working, but as usual, i'm out on the prowl! got a chance to stop by the bay. it's become my trademark in every tour, all the jeans go in the water, but since i was working, i didn't have time for all that mess.

not much to report today. had an early morning work meeting. then i spent most of the day trying to track down a company whose 18-wheeler was involved in an early morning accident. driver fell asleep at the wheel, crossed the median, truck wiped on it's side and burst into flames. driver made out ok and luckily no one else was injured, however, about a million dollars in blood plasma was destroyed.

stopped by Mike Fink's towing in P-town. he's a hell of nice guy. i think he's third generation in the biz. his father was the one that built it up into what it is today. sadly, he passed away a couple years ago. take a look at just some of the stuff he collected. he's got three shops just filled with stuff like these old signs.

went to Mister Freedom East today! well, not really, but that's what i call it and i'm trying to keep with the theme of my tour. the M&G Army Navy store has been around longer than i've been around here.

so back in the car we went. over to this little area not nearby. was looking for old buildings and stuff

found this place directly across the corner from the building in the pic above

couldn't figure out what it was, so i decided to do a little investigation. walked in a found these folks in one part and quickly discovered the building was rented out to artists and such.

found this guy- Martin. he does metalwork

and found this really cool room. ironically, the guy i mentioned yesterday, Scott Hansen the video director, has his office up here. i'm sure he uses this space to shoot stuff too.
