^personally, I think donut man is a little overrated. Its not bad, but excluding tiger tail and strawberry filled, I just font see it as much better than the average donut star.

And brian, I've gotta take you to SK's sometime. Best donuts I've had in LA.

Everyone need to get on that. Prolly top 3 donuts I've ever had. Definitely on par with Peter Pan, and FUCK DOUGHNUT PLANT. That place is bullshit.

yo after readin your post i had to get my own cinnamon sugar donut. this one is from this cafe/bakery called huckleberry.

nice middle consistency here-- right in between "fluffy" and "dense"

probably not as orgasmic as pies & thighs, though. will return to nyc soon and satisfy this cravin.

bonus pic ,chocolate buttermilk from SK's. it's not the fanciest, but it has been consistently good the times i have tried it. especially bangin when it is hot and fresh, but these were cold.

Pies and thighs cinn-donuts are a little crispier and more cake-like than the huckleberry, but they managed to keep the batter a lot lighter than a typical cake donut.
