Haha, I feel you on 4Minute, Phong. I hardly listened to the song, but whenever my bro plays COD and talks big after being the match's top scorer, I uncontrollably go "...Naega - naega I'm on TOP!"

Some tracks that I liked most this year were:

MissA: Bad girl Good Girl

Kara: Lupin

Narsha: Mamma Mia

F(x): NU ABO, Me+U

SNSD: Oh! (HATED it at first, but the track production warmed me up to it)

rankings determined primarily by play count, multiple songs by same artists were removed.

1. Shady Girl: awesome production, great vocals, very catchy, dem legz, perfect example of a summer kpop banger without the need for autotune. very impressive, refreshing release by sistar.

2: Cast: for the fuqqin lulz. amazing song. it's like the exact opposite of the song above, too.

3: Sonnet: i am an as one fanboy so this is personal preference. but this song was a chill bangeur, reminds me of like a hot summer night or something

4: HOT TIMES: idk i've just had this on repeat for a while. the vocals are impressive as they are and I tend to like R&B and ballads these days. what makes it great is the over the top effort to be sexy, i find it comical.

5: NO. 5 feat Eun G1: this song is chill as fuqq and was the gateway into finding more old school R&B korean artists.

6: Oh!: SNSD was actually a disappointment this year. i don't know how this is so high up but it's better than Hoot and all their other shiet. This prob should've been My Best Friend but play count and overall hype wins out…

7: I'll Back Off So You Can Live Better: dope vocals and bangin production for her debut. also, DEM TTZ.

8: 2am gook ballad: I don't even think they promoted this song, but 2AM in general had really good releases this year. I think they'd be my favorite artist for this year, which is surprising because just last year I hated on gook ballads like crazy. i feel like girl groups dun fell off.

9: ctrl+c, ctrl+v: This song doesn't sound like traditional kpop but it was her performances and awesome choreo that made this song werq for me

10: BGGG: great debut song for these girls, again.. no autotune and catchy with pretty interesting lyrics. these girls would prob be my female artist of the year as well.

i will probably start uploading each track to my tumblr or all 10 in an archive or something. but those are my picks.

honorable mentions go to: SNSD- my best friend

an jin kyung - bad person

boa - implode

iu - nagging

san e - tasty san feat min

oh and album of the year might have to go to BoA - Copy & Paste. lots of good tracks
