tonight we went to augustiner brewery for dinner.

they have a nice small beergarden on the roof.

here´s the meals:

me (mix of german meat specialties with kraut and mashed potatoes)

her (Vienesse Schnitzel)

afterwards we went to see some friends. we crossed Königsplatz...

...and met them at Schellingstraße, nearby the university.

That´s where we stayed and had some drinks.

On our way home we passed the new art gallery "Sammlung Branhorst". It has a quite fancy cladding, better visible in daylight, of course.

That´s it for today. Tomorrow we´re starting a 12 day trip.

I don´t know hw frequently I´ll be able to acces the net and post update, but the places we go to should be good for some nice pics...

yeah, it´s a pitty i can´t take them to the oktoberfest. i don´t have lederhosen and would also never wear them...

i´ve never been here before and now i´m a bit sad, that we only stayed for one day. such a beautiful city...

DRESDEN welcomes it´s guests...

we´re staying at a friend´s place (gonna leave tonight and go elsewhere), so we´re having two days to explore the city of Dresden.

friday evening, we travelled from dresden to leipzig, to spend the weekend there.

we went shopping and had some good time drinkin´ and partying.

I see they still have those funky elevated gas pipes through the town -- kind of like street sculpture; I rather liked them. Did you go to the Stasi museum by any chance? Quite something...

i totally agree. dresden is nice, but somehow it´s a town fr tourists over 50, while leipzig is a beautiful AND living city.

i didn´t visit the stasi museum, cause i wanted to spend time with my friends and stuff...

the last two days were pretty relaxed and i don´t have any new places to show.

WOHOOO, weather is nice again. no more rain, sun is shining. perfect.

we´re staying at my girl´s brother in giessen now.

so yesterday we went to cologne...

...we had a view over the city from a platform...

...and went downtown afterwards.

the bridge is full with padlocks, that lovers place there as a sign for their love. (lemmy mentioned this strange habit before!)

we went for a walk next to the river Rhein...

...and crossed it by cablecar.

in the evening we went to a bar...

..to watch soccer and have some of cologne´s typical "Kölsch" beers.

it´s already day 24 for me. time flies...

this morning we continued our trip and went from Giessen to Kleinwallstadt. It´s a small village near Frankfurt, where I grew up and my parents still live here.

After wishing my grandpa an happy 80th birthday we went on a walk in the local hills...

I was happy to be here again and fooled around...

Then we went on.

We´ll stay here ´till sunday and then drive back to munich.

Don´t know if I´ll have the chance to shoot more postworthy pics around here...
