I haven't tried Opus Vancouver, but I tried Opus montreal and it was excellent. On the expensive side, but with the nice rooms, I thought it was worth it.

where can you find good clothes at a more modest price? like I can stomach paying a hundred bucks for a really good button up but not five hundred.

can anyone point me in a good direction for a useful resources for finding employment in the city? preferably in the arts, more specifically, writing and/or editing. any good forums or search engines? or any good independent magazines, newspapers, publications, i should reach out to?

i'm not in the country so it's a bit difficult to know what's up. any help would be appreciated!

So I'm in Vancouver for relatively short stay and looking for any ideas of interesting things to do and generally moderately priced places to eat, drink, explore etc.

Cheers in advance.

City has been dead since Inventory left. Only places of note are Neighbour, Gravity Pope (pretty eh but they have a good shoe selection) and Stranger Showroom (but this is essentially just Japanese stuff that dudes are flipping from y!jp)

Haven, Roden Gray, Feuille and \017 are also worth mentioning

imo /017 just sells corny fashion type stuff SUFU would have been into like 5+ years ago. Roden Gray is THE store for mainland nouveau riche. Haven is alright.
