i get it but i'm really horrible with explanations. somewhere between my brain and fingers, words get dropped and i often don't make sense.....but here goes

100 rep points = 1 rep power under your avatar.

every 1k post = 1 extra rep power

every year accumulated since your join date = 1 extra rep power

e.g. me, i've been here for 3 years = 3 extra rep power. 2,000+ posts = 2 extra rep power.

front page says i have 1343XX points so technically supposed to have 1343 rep power but

factor in join date and posts posted = 5 extra rep power

1348 rep power
