Army Surplus Stores in London?

Can anyone recommend a few good army surplus stores in London?

My vacation is in a week and when I’m there I’d really like to find some Royal Navy (or Army)-issue vintage pieces. All I can find over here is US WW2, Korea and Vietnam kit.

I’d love to have some European pieces to add some diversity to my collection – even if it’s only surplus British DPM. WW2 to the Falklands would be preferable. Can anyone help?

there's a shop around the corner from me that sells a good amount of army surplus gear. I even found a nice jacket that fit very well, which is a rarity because I'm pretty skinny. the only trouble was it was rather expensive... the jacket in question was about 37 quid. way too much for second hand shit, in my opinion. they had some nice military style trenches though, and those are ever so stylish at the moment...

oh yeah- the shop is on the corner of drummond st. and hampstead rd., near the warren st. tube stop. it's a bit out of the way, I guess, as it's most definitely not an area with very many retail shops.

Drummond St was always the one. Just behind Euston station, there's a lot of good restaurants specialising in South Indian food there too. Plenty of other markets have surplus stalls too, probably including Camden, Ken High St, Portobello, greenwich, and the stalls just off Seven Dials in Covent Garden. American Classics, on Endell St, have v good parkas and miliatry jackets, but they don't come cheap.

Jungle next to the Carhartt and Stussy stores in Earlham st, Covent Garden is the most obvious surplus store in london. It's run by a bunch of eastern europeans and has been there for about 12 years. It's changed a lot in that time, and sells an unbalanced mish mash of terrible crap and total bargains these days . Check the basement - I found a brand new french military parka with liner and welded seams there for £20 last winter, but I had to make it past the racks of scary gay-interest ripped tight t shirts with lots of zips in unusual places and belgian thermal vests with defiant slogans scrawled on them in marker pen and challenging english first.

jungle is shit. they are rude and things are overpriced and corny from their 'design'.

camden has the best one that i have found. in the stables, all reasonably priced and excellent quality. i have about 4 jackets from there as well as black moleskin cargo pants. stop by there first and then check others and you will see...

not quite sure... a pretty light jacket, suitable enough for autumn, navy, and it zipped, very plain. the zipper went up to a decently sized collar. hm, sorry for the lousy description. it seemed to have patches that had been removed...
