GUM+RAW DENIM

ICE doesnt work nor putting them into the freezer. The gum is kinda mashed in and mostly just in the ridges. What u guys recommend? Drycleaning? Or will that mess it up? Goo Gone? Anyone try it before?

From what I remember about Goo Gone, is that it has a very strong chemical lemon or orange smell even when used in extremely small amounts. I doubt you want to walk around with this horrible odor emitting from your pants. I dont know how to get the gum out but I suggest "not" using goo gone.

goo gone works. I used it on jeans, jackets, and some containers where I ripped off price tag stickers. I don't think the smell is that bad. I rather it smell than walk around with gum on me.

Well for those of you who dont mind smelling like a hindu corner store then Goo Gone by all means... But I still suggest finding another method.

Sorry didnt think the morality police were out today...You would have made a stronger statement by not even responding or perhaps helping out by posting what removes gum from denim........back into woodwork I go.

Goo Gone or use a similar product, Goof Off. Goo gone is citrus smell, i believe Goof Off has no added scent but does smell petroleum based.

In either case, the oil mostly evaporates over time and it smells less and less.

You could dab some water on it once you get the gum off, and blot it.

I was in a grocery store the other day, and I saw a product that is designed to get stains out. It had about 8 different formulas for different stains ranging from wine to grass.

Anyways one of them was for removing gum. I think it was called stain devil or something like that.

Check a grocery store in the aisle they sell laundry detergent.

You could also take a little piece of sandpaper and sand it out.
