i've gotten an open container ticket and mailed it in and it got tossed out. they just mailed me back a reciept and the check uncashed.

^^ a friend had something similar happen when he got busted for open container tailgating at shea. they had patrols of cops handing out tickets but apparently they did such a crappy job of proving the violation that most of them got overturned even if the defendant pled guilty

what's your price range? I buy like 4-5 pairs at a time down in St. Marks place cause they cost about $2 each.. but if you're looking for something a little more upscale I'd try SoHo or any of the numerous shopping districts that have stores like Bloomingdales and the like.
