i dont really watch soccer but CAN ITALY beat SPAIN tomorrow??

My Investment professor said that if his team(italy) whoop on spain, we will get the "mickey mouse" version of the exam but if they lose, hes bringing in the "i'm fucked" version

Well, Robben had an injury during practice the day before. Also Afelay was put into the game for more offensive gameplay. My opinion is that Holland did get what it deserved, the defense was nowhere to be seen thus giving russia more then enough opportunities to win this game (could have been like 5-1 for russia). Although i am Dutch (and feeling a bit betrayed by the russian coach hiddink who is also dutch) i thought the match was overpowered by dutch arrogance and russian fighting spirit and russia was truly a stronger team this match.

Watching this game only makes me respect the power of coaching and Guss. This man took three minnow teams to surpass everyone's expectations. South Korean would have never made it to the semis, Aussie's first try to World Cup and made it to the Quarters and now this. This man preaches athleticism and watching Russia with still fuel in the tank at the second extra time, constantly beating dutch to the ball, trampling down the dutch midfield and running like horses down through ball paths is a testament to his coaching - games are won in the last half of the game, where athleticism dictates winning and losing.

It's not really the defense that was poor for Holland - until Heitinga came on they were doing remarkably well considering the way the game was going.

In front of those 4 Sneijder looked like the only player who'd turned up to the match... otherwise there was no pace or creativity in the attack. At no point did they take the Russian full backs on on the counterattack, instead allowing them to get men behind the ball. Sticking Van Persie on the wrong side didn't really help on this front, as rather than taking Zhirkov on he had to cut inside to use his left foot... oddly enough he never plays in that role for Arsenal.

Worse were the central three or Engelaar, Van der Vaart and De Jong... all completely ineffectual in attack and failed massively in regards to ball retention. Guess they paid the price of having a manager who can't get on with the likes of Van Bommel and Seedorf.

Ever since I emailed ESPN about how bad Julie Foudy has been in Euro coverage, she has been on much less. I accept cash, checks, money orders and all major credit cards.

It's funny cause I emailed them as well. I pretty much email everyone involved when I get pissed off during a football match, commentators, managers, owners, refs...
