Guest Fade to Black

Well, 45 RPMs are the cream of the crop...but i think the bespoke models gonna run you a lil more than 500. If you wanted to blow that entire stack in one go, I'd go for the Dior Homme orange overdyed jeans, they're $465 but after tax all 5 bills gonna be gone. The latest issue of the black whiskered jeans i don't recommend, the blue whiskereds are alright but not great, and i can't comment on the creased indigo jeans as i don't have experience with them (but i might cop soon)...so you left with the orange overdyes which have been Dior's signature jean for the past 3 seasons now.

Bear in mind that the only aspect of the bespoke 45rpms (Aihiko) that is actually customized for you are the (artificial) wear marks. They don't tailor them or cut them to fit.

Still, they use the best denim out there with (natural) indigo dye and I still kind of want a pair myself.

Quote: what makes 45rpm stand apart from other Japanese brands in that segment?

They just go that little extra bit further. Optional silver buttons and rivets (although the regular copper ones are just as nice). Pocket selvage. Hidden rivets on the back pockets. Printed fabric used for the front pockets. The denim used in the bespoke range is rope-dyed with vegetable indigo and (at least according to the cute girl who works in the SoHo store) the fabric is spun and woven at slower than ususal speeds to bring out the slubs and create a tighter weave.

None of this shit really matters...but if I were going to spend an insane amount of money* on a pair of non-vintage jeans I'd consider the money better spent on 45rpm detailing than a designer label.

*[if you're just going to spend a slightly unbalanced amount of money, one-wash 45rpm Sorahikos are a nice compromise.]

dude, just to let you know, i HIGHLY DOUBT that you are going to be able to afford a pair of bespoke when they have the regular natural indigo dyed jeans for 700+ they have the other washes that vary in price from pair to pair i believe from 250-500. maybe you should save up another 200-300 and get the natural indigo dye if you really want "best of the best"
