I have some totally raw jeans that I was told it would bee best to shower in first to help them often a bit and fit to my body, do you do this with raw unwashed denim that is very hard, how long shoudl the shower be and how hot the water and will they bleed a lot to helpf the indigo and starch come off?

What brand/style of jeans are they? How do they fit now? Are they sanforized or unsanforized? If sanforized I wouldn't do it. If unsanvorized they will shrink after the first wash/soak so it would be a good idea as long as they are a quality denim. MOre info needed.

How do you want the jeans to fit you? How do they fit now?

edit: Also, I wouldn't shower in them. I think hot water makes the jeans bleed more as well as shrink more. Whenever I've soaked unsanforized denim like Sugarcane, 19 and 21 oz samurai and sda jeans I soaked them, inside out, in my bathtub with cold water. I just wanted them to shrink a little bit before I wore them so my fading wouldn't move after the first wash/soak. If they are unsanforized the legs will twist and shrink a bit so you want to get the initial shrinkage out of the way.

I think the Evisu are sanforized and the Levi's unsanforized. I'd soak the Levi's in warm water, no agitation, to reduce the amount of bleeding. These will shrink them up a bit to get the legs slightly twisted. I bet the Evisu are sanforized, I would't soak them but it's up to you. I wouldn't worry about staining anything unless you are sitting on a very light colored couch. The jeans probably aren't totally soaked in indigo and won't smudge super easy. Some brands bleed more than others. A quick soak and hang dry would probably get rid of that problem.
