In trying to reduce useless chit-chatting, I want to set up a superchat, akin to the old troutchat we used to have.

I dont want anything like aim or messenger, where you have to actually download software. I just want a website where we can have our own chatroom.

You'd have to speak with the programmer to set up some sort of java software. It's not pretty.

Best bet is off-site or on AIM, though that's only because it's the easiest solution. It's the holidays Sufu is running slow like molasses right now, as is with everyone else.

No, i agree. I definitely wont set up a chat room in supertrash itself, especially after that crash a year ago. What I want is another website we can go to dedicated to chat rooms. I dont like the AIM idea, because its not very convenient when you switch computers alot. its much easier when all you have to do is type a web address.

i only set up supertrash because it was a way to deal with crap on the other forums. i found it entertaining - and still vaguely do - but where irony and sarcasm is reduced to endless and tired racial slurs, religious slurs, and homophobia - then it has pretty much lost it. in the real world i am the most liberal minded person you are ever likely to meet. i have no interest to be telling people what they can and cannot say or do....unless those opinions are directed in a consistently malicious way towards other individuals on MY WEBSITE. [read: mods - who are volunteers in the first place - and others who have made substantial positive contributions to the resource content of the board] or collective groups of people [whether they are black, white, jews, gays, lesbians, christians, muslims, pakistanis, midgets, whatever]...
