I'm sure to be flamed for this seeing as everyone seems to think milspex dresses fantastically - But how does wearing layers of 10 sizes to large clothes fashionable. He looks like a giant douche.

With a name like milspex you'd think he'd look more like a trim and proper army guy rather than something that looks more akin to mcdonald's Grimace minus the purple.

Typically i wouldn't care so much about one person dressing so silly but he's quite judgmental of others which gets to me.

ive never liked mil's style, whether i know where it comes from or not, but changing the frames and buying some undershirts that actually fit under shirts instead of sticking out would be some major improvements as well as better distinguish him from an 11 year old

that being said, if i have be objective about it, his style, though not in my liking, does look pretty cohesive and in the know, (that is, he doesnt look like some ign'ant try-too-hard). but personally, i like wearing things i could see myself in for sometime.. maybe its a weird personal thing, but mil, could you really see yourself wearing something remotely similar in 5, 10, 15 years? if you can, then im not sure i believe you.. if you cant and youre cool with that then, cool i guess, but id hate looking at/thinking so highly of myself and the clothes i wear today just to inevitably end up thinking them childish and renouncing all my old tastes

then again, maybe mil will still be sagging his 'taps bdu's in his 50s..

they are not supposed to be undershirts, they are meant to stick out how they properly do and it looks awesome.it's called layering and it can be and is done right by him.

you have probably +repped still for doing the same with his rick owens t-shirts or something, but since milspex is not as much a sufu approved personality as still and others are, you are hating on him.

i still think he's a fucktard even though i like the way he dresses while questioning how appropriate his clothes are for his age but it's ok not to like his style, different strokes for different folks, but if you are going to haye on it at least bring something cohesive to the table.

We were "invaded" a few weeks ago by a bunch of you guys, much to the dismay of the mods over there (and here I should imagine). You grabbed some of our WAYT posts and posted them here I think. I believe I was one of those.

Truth be told, I found the antics to be pretty funny, so I started posting here. Cool place, no nonsense. It's a nice change of pace even if it means every one of my outfits will be posted here because I wear Bootcuts with bizzare stacking. I can get used to that much.

i know what layering is. apparently i knew what it was when i was 11, and my undershirts were too big, and stuck out like that, and looked equally as sloppy..

i honestly take offense to this. i will paypal 100 dollars to you or anyone else that can find a single post of mine praising still or any other member here wearing similar clothes. i could not care less about that look, its sufu popularity, or its layering practices. i have as much distaste for still's look as i do for mil's. whats keeping me from posting still's outfits in this thread is their air of sophistication and maturity, not his RO tee shirts...

But with that been said, Welcome to sufu, lose those bootcuts or at least taper them to fit your likings. Levi's or not, jeans that give you the legs of a transformer bot dont cut it.. Your fit would look much cleaner without em.. Buy a straight leg/slim fit and shit would look fine..

Slim and tapered is a recurring silhouette in fashion, whereas bootcut is not featured a great deal. My hate for bootcut stems from the odd shape and the A&F association, but i suppose the latter is more my own hangup.

I know exactly where you're coming from and I have nothing but respect for this place. It's real, and it's population is impressively diverse (though it's dress codes are a little straight-laced). I welcome the criticism, like I said, it's fresh.

As for the cut of my jeans, crossing over to another forum doesn't spell reinvention. Even though the consensus will probably tell me otherwise, I completely hate the way tapered fits look on my frame. I'm lanky, and my legs are disproportionately long. The slim tapered fits I have tried only draw more attention to that.
