wearing Hats/Beanies with Suits

I was wondering if someone can offer some advice about wearing either a beanie or hat on a slim fitting suit? I know I've seen people doing it before and it might've worked depending on the hat (fedora), but people wearing beanies didn't look so good.

Fez still looks silly. I'm speaking more in terms of formal wear, paints, suit, tie, with the hat/beanie on top. Rude Boys and skins look kinda cool when they wear a fedora type hat, but wanted pics and suggestions.

if you're dressing like a gentleman (wearing a suit), you should wear the hat of a gentleman, not a fucking hoodrat beanie. and before you ask: yes, it's still tacky, even if it's a $500 cashmere beanie.

Since hats like fedoras traditionally were worn with suits, they're fine. Not so sure about the beanie, I think it looks a little strange.

I think if it's a nice slouchy one it's possible. it just depends on your looks probably... not everyone can pull off something tricky like that.

I agree, I've seen some rare cases where it hasn't looked that off, but I think it requires something casual with the suit like a crewneck, definately not a button-up. generally speaking, don't do it.
