I don't think losing weight has to be hard. Just requires a lot of discipline for an amount of time. I "bulked" to 160 where I was in April, and subjected myself to a boxing regiment and some calorie counting and was at 147 before May hit.

Once you do the calorie deficit thing and get where you want to be, you could eat at maintenence and for the most part stay at that weight. I eat Gyros (my fav) and all sorts of lovely food in NYC, and I do fine --- never go over 150. I binge on junk food every now and then, but I still don't go overboard. My whole workout consists of the NYC commute.

And the brad pitt body is ridiculously hard to maintain. Like ridiculously hard, he did things boxers would do, dehydration and all that.

HGH - human growth hormone, the modern miracle potion for youth, beauty, power. It'll even make your dick bigger. downsides: it might give you a caveman brow and a gigantic head (barry bonds). But big heads look cool, they make a dude look unstoppable.

With a big head, you will look good with a shaved head. With a scowl, you can be a Stone Cold Steve Austin. With a small head, you will look a bit silly.

If you already have muscle on you, just eat at a calorie deficit for a month or so. An extreme calorie deficit should produce rather quick results. Just eat what you need to, and don't touch any liquid but water. Drink lots of water and nothing but. Brad Pitt was about 160 in Fight Club with single digit body fat percentage.

1. Wont that make your muscles and body look 'flat'.

2. Single digit body fat percentage? Depends on how you measure it. One way is to submerge oneself in that concealed tank of water. The other way is to hold that gadget and press a button after inputting your height and weight and age. For that, even I have a single digit body fat percentage of like 6% to 7% but my body does not even resemble Brad's although I am not reed thin like Christian Bale.

I think I read Bale was down to an apple and a latte a day towards the end.

Sometimes I wonder why Bale tried so hard. He could have used computer graphics to make himself looked thin. And to risk his health for a movie like Machinist?

It would have been worth it if Roman Polanski directed it and then in the movie Bale became so thin, he became a stick man or he ate himself.

Flat? Well, if you have muscle there, a lack of liquid and fat between the skin and muscle will give ridiculous definition. "Flat" is pretty much what Brad Pitt was in fight club.

Hmm. You are right. By flat, I mean the belly of the muscle dont look full.

But alot of it depends on genetics.

I knew a skinny friend who got a six pack at 16 and he doesnt train.

If he does just a bit, he would have a nice bod like Brad's.

Just join sparkpeople.com and input everything you eat and follow their maintainedcaloric intake for your height and weight .

Monitor your weight weekly and if you drop more than 2 pounds a week - up your calories 200-300 cuz youre losing muscle too ..

Don't count the first 2-3 weeks casue a lot of that is water .

Drink 1 gallon or more of water a day yes you have to ..

after you are eating the right things - then weight your nutrient ratios more towards low carbs like under 100 for non workout days and less than 150 for workout days ..

on workout days two big servings of carbs are before and after workout . Only count 50% of those towards your daily value .

Also include fish oil and/or flaxseed oil into your diet ..

You get skinny quicker eating lots of fat and protein and no carbs ... But you have to taper until your reach that point ...

oh yeah and work out lazy fuck

yea it seems hard to eat meat fruit n veggies all day its not once you get accustomed .. oatmeal for breakfast or steak n eggs with whole wheat toasts mm ..

I find myself sleeping more than I should and feeling lethargic and lazy in addition to wanting to lose fat. I just started up a routine recently which isn't as long as it is recomended to be doing cardio so I will assume it will take longer for me to get in shape. I'm also trying to eat right. Past few days my diet has included oatmeal and salad. Anyone tell me if cheerios are okay to eat, also what salad dressing is appropriate. I've been avoiding opaque dressings for vinegarettes and ones with olive oil.

No cheerio. No to salad dressing as well. Just eat your salad plain.

Is that all youre eating giz ? you need to maintain a certain level of calories for your body to even function properly .. Even if you sat on the couch all day .

If you wanna lose fat cut your carbs out except maybe less than 50g - replace it with fats ..

GOOD fats - red meat fat , virgin olive oils , cheeses milk peanut butter ( no sugar ) fish etc ..

  • 5 months later...
  • 4 weeks later...

I think I read somewhere that dieting is 80% (give or take) of losing the weight. There is one program that I heard works and that is called p90x. I have looked this stuff up and mothertruckers come out absolutely ripped in 90 days

I did the south beach diet and lost 35 pounds. It's not hard after the first couple weeks. Highly recommended (if you have somebody who will cook for you). You could also try that thing called Alli. Basically you have to shit every time you consume too much fat. Supposed to work though.
