Vans slip ons advice

Ok, I haven't particularly worn a pair anytime recent, but had a question since everyone and their moms sport these.

Recently, my bro got a pair of the canvas black slip ons for his BD. When he rocked them, they messed with his heel, basically causing a newly formed blister. They were worn with low cut socks... didn't seem loose or tight, so I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else? Should i tell him to wear higher socks, no socks, or ditch the pair?

this can happen to anyone with any pair of shoes...it just matters how your foot is shaped and whatever....

after a few days of working the shoes in, it will be fine and he should never get another blister from that pair.

i wear a size or a size and a half larger in slip ons than i do in every other shoe. if i don't, i get massive blisters.

Blisters are usually caused by friction...if the blisters continue, either ditch the shoes, or try wearing a liner sock under your normal sock (that way the friction is between the two socks, instead of your foot).

i wear the same size in slip ons and dont get blisters. just fucking work the shits in.

Pound the back of the shoe with your hand/a baseball bat/a meat tenderizer.

Actually happened to me with my newer Eras a few weeks ago. Yeah, laces... it can happen with just about any shoe, I think feet are pretty sensitive to even small changes in the wear of the shoe. Sticking with what barcelona said though; work them in, and it'll be fine soon enough.

and i think the shoe had a bad reaction to the socks and decided to take revenge on the owner!

It might just be that his vans are pretty tight, if it continues to bother him just get higher socks.

happens with every new pair i get. the heels just need to be broken in. as stated above.

He also might have worn them for too long a period of time. A long time in new shoes don't allow the users feet to get used to them gradually. I've gotten a blister from wearing flip flops too long in one day.
