Levis E jackets

hello, as you can see i am brand new here. i believe you sufuers can help me identify this jacket. it's tag says (kind of faded): 70505 0217 . it has a single pocket and the big E on the tag. i was about to sell it to the thrift when i was alerted this was vintage levis and was worth much more than what they were to buy it from me, so i kept it. it is still stiff as hell, and has no natural wear other than light fading on the seams, i'd keep it but it doesn't fit quite right. anyhow.....QUESTIONS: what era is it? how much is it worth, and would it be worth more in an auction as it is(stiff) or broken into and worn down somewhat?? thanks in advance for any help. sorry, no pics, i dont have a picture host

Looks like a late 60's Type III.

indeed this is a sixties type 3, also called slim fit trucker. you could expect a price from 150USD-250USD these jackets aren´t that popular as the 501s from the same era...
