don't worry jane you are still young. you will find a rich man to latch onto at some point. then you can spend all the time and money you want on new clothes.

I'm gonna finish my undergrad in mechanical engineering in december, and hopefully get a phd in a few years.

It seems no one is in engineering here.

I'm also finishing Mechanical Engineering (& Petroleum Engineering) in a few weeks after 5 long years.

Got a job lined up with one of the supermajors next year so that should be pretty interesting. (Moving there with my gf of almost three years even more so I guess.)

Looking forward to India and 10 days up Kanchunjunga in a month - and HK after that - so things are looking pretty good.

Started my 2nd year of college, Culinary management, 5 months in on my apprenticeship/job, I need to order my booklet and register so I can get my Chef papers after I graduate and get them signed. Then I move to Toronto/Montreal/Ottawa/somewhere?? and try to land a Sous Chef position, work hard, land a head chef position and sit in my office all day doing paper work.

Blah

Trying to find other jobs/educational paths/options besides simply teaching high school next year in some city. If teaching, what city?

I am. Second year in chem engineering, shit's so much work

My boy got his undergrad degree in Chem E and got hired out of Micro E at RIT in Rochester by IBM down in Westchester county, starting at like $80K. He's making like $100K and they payed for him to finish his degree and they're paying for his PhD at Columbia now. Good major. High demand and not much indiginous talent. Don't need to be a 4.0 either. IBM was just happy to hire a qualified American.

i thought i was the only one here who killed time solving simple allgebra equations while anticipating forced intercourse. its nice to know im not alone.
