almost a good 3rdl jap movies a year are based off of manga and anime. there have been alota horrible ones, but there have been a great deal of decent and great ones as well. compared to other countries i'd say they are much better at anime 2 live action remakes.

and BTW the director is chris nahon. last time i checked he wasn't japanese.
