U looking for a regular normal euro hem. Stich does a decent job, or the one at sq 1. As for chainstitching don't think anybody in Toronto does that. Wonder if there is anybody in canada that does it. I have Flatheads I need to be shorten, but it won't be for awhile.

Did you have a bad experience with TNT? Not that I ever need jeans hemmed...but good to know which tailor to avoid. Who do they use?

they send their work to the tailor in hazelton lanes, i forget their name. avoid them. they hemmed my imperial dukes an inch more than they were supposed to, took way too long to do it, and it cost way too much. i won't be going back there.

Yikes! Mentally noted.

Did you get your dukes from Nomad? I got tired of waiting for more stock and ordered them from context.

There is ONE place where you can get quality chainstitching in Toronto. He will let you wait while he sets the machine up then he had the operator do a sample for me to show me the quality before I trusted him with my Samauris.

Let me know if you want his contact info if you are still looking, as I will have to dig it up!

Yeah the tailor in Hazelton Lanes... I had to send mine back twice: first time they put a European hem on for no discernable reason, second time they just came back looking like shit with wonky stitching etc, third time they were borderline acceptable and TNT basically refused to send them back again even though I still wasn't happy. Once I washed them they ended up fractionally too short.

However they did give me a free thong to make up for practically ruining a $300 pair of jeans...

Gotta bring this back up.. but i sorta have a different case.. i have a pair of 501 jeans that i REALLY love the colour (softly faded black) but the size is really a piece of shit.. would it be possible to tailor the whole pair of jeans (its in W36) into a pair of W34... or should i just not waste my time???

TORONTO: stop y'all hemming without a chainstich.

My friend Mike knows a guy that chainstiches in Toronto. I'll have a number in the next few days.

Keep your eyes on this.

Re: TNT, Cornelius is a good tailor, I can't believe you had a problem.
