Evisu denim

Hi everyone, i am new here. Yesterday i went to a Evisu boutique and saw a very limited jeans. It is the Evisu edition hand-dyed indigo denim jeans. It cost around 1300 USD. Man, the material is so different from the rest of the jeans. The only thing that is stopping me from buying is the selvage is not propely made like most of the japanese selvage. yup 1300 for a pair of jeans is too steep. But the material and quality is really so good. There is noly 100 in this world. And there are around 5 jeans on the evisu boutique. I am not a evisu fab, but i guess they are realyy hyping it up.

The only pair that's been on ebay was authentic yes . They sell the same denim without the logo on pockets for like $450 I think on evisu.com

When you start hitting prices like that for jeans I say go for 45rpm they are so beautiful and perfect. They are my ultimate denim goal.

For $1300 you could buy an original pair of 501s from the 50s in really good shape.

hand-dyeing and hank-dyeing are not interchangeably used.

nice jeans but evisu inflates their prices too much. its because theyre becoming mre and more popular and mainstream especially amongst rappers

$1300 is just crazy. I have heard them going for more than that too.

Unfortunately the retailers have been just throwing ridiculous prices on it, but those jeans should be going for around $700 max.

The hank-dyed jeans come from the Japanese Kuroki mill in Okayama. Since it isn't dyed mechanically, but rather done by hand and dipped around 30 times, the denim has a totally unique character with irregularities through the dipping and oxidization process. Since it is all hand done and so labor intensive they are only available in small quantities.

chad, u r right. It is very limited. there are only 100 in this world and the one i saw is number 22. What is so nice about evisu seriously. I dont think their design is nice.

Yea, you can buy it now straight from evisu.com for $497... Just got my self a pair, worth EVERY penny, go for it!

i check evisu.com but i dun see that jeans. There is no doubt that it is worth every penny, but still i dont like the selvage of that pair. If possible, i would love to take pics of that shop if i go there again

I think there are 2 versions of these jeans, the ones at the evisu site aren't hank dyed and are not limited to 100 pairs. In Hong Kong they had both versions, the 100 limited hank dyed ones were like HK$9000 and the ones at the Evisu site were around HK$3900 i think.

1300 sounds a little too "hype-beast" for me. But in consolation, the denim looks very nice....the only thing i would have to question is the fit.....does anyone have pics of them on? I'd like to see the fit....typically evisu doesn't have the greatest fits other than the pumas that i've seen

they do regular cuts very well. their 2001 is quite a standard model, if fuller than what most people would like here.

ironically, the pumas have probably the worst denim in their range.

^ agreed. the pumaxevisu looks cool until you try them on. the denim is poor as is the quality of construction.

Guys i went back to the evisu shop and tested the jeans. Man, the hand-dyed jeans is so rigid and the material is out of the world. Not to mention the quality. ut yes, 1300 USD is too step. i wear size 30, but i tried on the size 32, it fits just nice. I am uploading pictures now. Enjoy
