ron artest was evidenly arrested today for domestic violence. presumably he was beating the piss out of his wife, though full details haven't surfaced.

it reminded me that there have been significant wifebeaters in the last few decades:

- ike turner ("sometimes you just gotta get hit")

- william reid of the jesus and mary chain was rumored to have beat hope sandoval (i've no idea if this is true; regardless, she was asking for it)

- lionel richie's wife

there are probably a hundred more but i can't remember. and for those of you who were asking for thoughtful threads, you're welcome.

I was watching this interview with Tom Arnold last year and he said that throughout his marriage to Roseanne, she was horribly abusive / psychotic.

One of the stories that sticks in my mind is when he didn't mention to her that he was going in to the hospital to get hair plugs done. He finished up and was in a patient room healing when she burst into the room furious (for whatever reason) and ripped the hair plugs out of his scalp. Nice..........
