BEST DENIM IN NYC?

Someone has offered to pick me up some jeans whilst taking a trip to NYC - what should i go for denim wise in shops like Alife, etc......?

splitting hairs with me, newcomer? if you want the best it's going to be over $500. and i know it's r by 45rpm, but you got the point. people say barney's and know it's barney's new york. people say bergdorf and know it's got a goodman in there too. sheesh.

no im not "splitting hairs". i understand what you meant but you made it sound like all the denim they have is 500, which isnt true. they have denim from 300 - 750. alot of the lower priced denim are still great quality with much attention to detail. the way you posted made it sound like youve never been to the store. i wasnt sure if you had just heard it was there and knew about the great quality of 45rpm and decided to give advice.

it doesnt matter anyway. this thread is over a year and a half old. im pretty sure the guys friend has already came and went a few times.

actually, the cheapest denim @ r by 45rpm is 380. After tax, 410.

hey, the post is a year old but the question is still valid. and the denim market in nyc has changed quite a bit in the past year. so why would you assume that i've never been to 45 rpm? (sorry, AAAAARRRRRRHHH by 45 rpm).

alife has these sick 501xx with multicolor stitching on the pockets/...500 bucks though.

haha, they weren't 500 bucks when the levi'sXalife store was in effect, I got mine then for 185....it just goes to show how the premium denim market is now...
