Great thread, you've certainly introduced me to a lot of great music. When I checked out this thread I only knew about Justice, Chromeo, Most of Ed Bangers crew, and some Scandinavian acts, etc.

I'll definitely keep my eye on this kind of sound, and this thread, in the future.

btw: +rep to the uploading guys.

plus rep. thanks man.

No problem

I'm looking for these tracks if anyone has ... that'd be cool, if you don't check them out.

muzikjunki - milk and cookies (nils noa remix )

Alex Gopher - Motorcycle (wet clutch edit)

Deter Schmidt - Morse Code for the cold war

jence - wired

quick & brite - predator (deadbots remix)

Also, has anyone heard the new digitalism mix that comes with the august mixmag?

do you personally prefer le funk or night on fire? i wonder how the new ones going to sound...

I'm more familiar with night on fire and the remixes of. Is their earlier stuff more/less electronic based? I'm more inclined to their electro stuff over their more soft rock tunes.

Cut Copy remix of the night on fire track is pretty good - worth a listen.

Are they signed to modular or kitsune? They seem to be releasing stuff from both. Edit: i think its neither.

they're signed to astral works.

the earlier stuff sounds like funk-guitar solo filled disco house (doesn't sound indie/new wave/whatever at all). much different from night on fire.

Having had a listen i like le funk but still prefer nights on fire - although i think some great stuff can be done with the le funk tracks. Their new album seems so undirectional to me - the tracks i heard sound ok but there is nothing standout at all.

i haven't heard it yet. so i shouldn't get it?

Currently listening to the bang gang deejays mix CD.

The one that plays endlessly at loveless and color by numbers.

It's pretty good.

The new one? Well it isn't entirely to my taste but it is decent. I am inclined to listen to it in full. I think my main reason for not liking that much is that it didn't meet the expectations I had for it - not quality wise but style of music.

Do you mean their new legit cd 'light sound dance' or the loveless mix they did for the store?

he probably means the one with "the final countdown" intro. i can't believe that loveless is still actually selling this. when did this come out? like 2years ago?
